π¦ How to Order Your Puppyβs Food
Please order as soon as possible so your food arrives before your puppy does.
π Order Online: www.HealthyForPaws.com
π Phone Orders: 1-877-387-4564
π Representative ID: 20456471
We recommend setting up Auto-Ship every 8β10 weeks, adjusting as your puppy grows.

βοΈ Preparing for Go-Home Day β Recommended Supplies
To help your puppy settle in comfortably, we recommend having the following items ready before your puppy arrives:
π₯ Nutrition, Treats & Feeding Essentials
β Lifeβs Abundance Food & Treats
We encourage continuing the same diet your puppy has been raised on to support digestion, growth, and consistency during the transition period. If you choose to switch foods later, do so gradually by mixing with the food we send home to avoid stomach upset.
β Training Treats (use in small amounts)
Soft, healthy treats work best for reward-based training. Remember β the reward is the praise and connection; the treat is simply reinforcement. Small pieces are plenty.
β Avoid Common Fillers
We recommend avoiding foods made with corn, wheat, or soy, as these ingredients can contribute to allergies, digestive upset, and excess stool.
π Crate, Bedding & Rest Area
β 36β42β³ Wire Crate with Divider
Allows the crate to grow with your puppy and supports house-training success.
β Washable Towels or Blankets
Avoid plush or expensive beds early on β puppies go through a chewing stage and simple bedding is safest.
β Safe Resting Space
A quiet area helps your puppy decompress and feel secure during the first weeks at home.
π§Έ Toys, Chews & Enrichment
β Soft plush toys, squeakers, rubber toys, and tennis balls
β Rotate toys to prevent boredom
β οΈ Use caution:
β’ avoid rope toys or items that can shred
β’ supervise chew time
β’ swallowing pieces can become a serious medical emergency
We do not recommend rawhides due to choking and digestion risks.
π Leash, Collar & Safety
β Flat collar for everyday wear + ID tag
Your puppy will already be microchipped, but visible ID adds extra security.
β Martingale collar for leash training
Provides gentle control when used correctly and only under supervision.
(If you would like guidance on proper use or training tools, please reach out β we are happy to help.)

π¦ Ordering Healthy Treats & Training Rewards
To your puppy on a consistent wellness program, we also recommend ordering Lifeβs Abundance training treats ahead of time so theyβre ready for your first training sessions together.

π Phone Orders: 1-877-387-4564

π‘ Home & Safety Setup
β Puppy-safe area or gated space
β Remove cords, small objects, or chew hazards
β Consider a fenced yard or supervised outdoor time
Wireless fencing systems may be useful for some homes when introduced thoughtfully and paired with training and supervision.
π A Gentle Reminder
Puppies learn just like toddlers β they explore with their mouths, test limits, and need structure, patience, and time. Your puppy will not behave like an adult dog right away β and thatβs okay. With consistency, guidance, and love, they will grow into a wonderful lifelong companion.

π‘ The First Few Days at Home
Bringing a new puppy home is a big life change β for both you and your puppy. The first few days may feel a little overwhelming as your puppy adjusts to a new environment, new people, and a new routine. This is completely normal, and with patience, consistency, and reassurance, your puppy will begin to settle in quickly.
π Nighttime & Crate Adjustment
Your puppy has been used to sleeping near littermates, so the first one or two nights may feel lonely and your puppy may cry or whine. This usually improves very quickly once your puppy learns the new routine.
If your puppy wakes and cries after falling asleep, it often means they need to go potty. Take them outside calmly, on leash, and return to the crate without play or excitement. Keeping these trips βall businessβ helps your puppy learn to go back to sleep more easily.
With gentle consistency, most puppies begin sleeping through the night within a few days.
π₯£ Eating, Drinking & Settling In
Itβs common for puppies to have a smaller appetite the first day as they explore and adjust to their new surroundings. Continue offering their regular food, and give them time to relax.
If your puppy has not eaten by evening, you may offer a small amount of cooked ground beef to encourage appetite. If stools become loose, adding a little cooked white rice for a short time can help.
The most important thing during the first day is that your puppy is drinking water. If your puppy refuses water or still has not eaten by the next day, please contact us so we can help you determine next steps.
π± Call or text anytime: (401) 648-7387
We would always rather you reach out early than worry alone β you are never inconveniencing us. We care deeply about our puppies long after they leave our home.
π A Gentle Reminder
Your puppy is still a baby. They are learning where to sleep, when to potty, what is safe to chew, and how to understand your routines. With consistency, reassurance, and loving structure, these first few days will turn into a beautiful lifelong bond.
Congratulations on your decision to adopt a TAGA Puppy!!
